Nidecker Bindings Are Some Of The Best
Riders are shouting that Nidecker bindings are some of the best available but there does seem to be a problem with the weight and ratchets for some riders.
The Nidecker bindings Pro 800 series is an all-mountain binding and a favorite of Nidecker team riders like Mikko Rajkangas. The Pro 800 is a highly responsive binding and it features Nidecker's exclusive Lateral Dampening System. This system allows the baseplate to absorb shock and also to flex laterally, increasing edge control and providing extra turning power. The Pro 800 also incorporates a hollow highback for reduced weight.
Riders report that the Pro 800's are comfortable and responsive. One rider says he was able to achieve as much response as his old binding provided without strapping down so tightly. The Nidecker bindings Pro 800's series come in a full range of sizes and in two colors: black/chrome and white/camo.
This is a freestyle version of the Carbon 900 boasting many of the same features and a symmetrical freestyle highback designed for precision and freedom of motion.
One reviewer with mixed feelings on the Nidecker bindings explains some trouble areas. "I bought these bindings on a chance. Sadly I was disappointed. Nidecker make very well designed and technologically advanced bindings. They only have one problem that is the build quality. I broke 5 ratchets in a season!!!!!!!! Also the ratchets used to freeze up and the straps burred after some time. They are very heavy as well and that makes for a heavy board. The bindings are super comfy and have great response. Great gas pedals and support. I would buy Nidecker again if the weight was reduced and the quality improved.
Keep an eye out cause Nidecker have more tech in there bindings than anyone else."
Customer Service: "Good"
Price Paid: $120.00 at Zimmerman's Another rider that has the opinion that the Nidecker bindings are awesome has this to say: "I work as a Snowboard Instructor and ride my board 5+ days per week. I used Nidecker FR660 Bindings before I upgraded to the Pro 800 bindings that I ride now. I have about 30 full days of Hardcore riding on my board. Being an instructor my bindings are subject to being constantly taken off and put on as well as being run over by the people in my lessons. I have not had a single problem with the bindings. I highly recommend Nidecker Bindings to anyone looking for the best bindings that they can buy."
Customer Service:
"When a ratchet wears out from constant use, Nidecker and Zimmerman's are quick to replace it for free. They are pretty durable and last about 1 to 1.5 seasons before wearing out. Customer Service is excellent." Nidecker bindings seem to have a good rep with riders and seem to be technologically advanced over many other bindings.
